Budapest-based DJ, curator and selector Marco Mental has spent nearly two decades exploring the fringes of electronic music and bringing together sounds and scenes that exist beyond the mainstream. A key figure in Hungary’s underground since the early 2010s, he founded Visionary Mind in 2011 and has spent ten years as a resident at the Ozora Dome, while shaping the alternative programming of MODEM Festival since 2014.
Influenced by the decadent romanticism of 90s alternative rock, Marco’s sound drifts through the shadowy spaces between ambient, IDM, deep techno, dubstep and breakbeat. With a curious ear and a passion for unexpected connections, he creates journeys that blur genre boundaries and give a voice to the more adventurous side of electronic music.
